PETER MARZYNSKI

A lover of history, a Professor of Design as well as a prolific & highly successful practicing architect, Peter Marzynski’s father Stanislaw, was a Professor of Architecture and one of the most respected architects in Warsaw, Poland. Peter followed in his father’s footsteps as an architect of  residential & commercial projects, beginning his career in Europe& West Africa, followed by Toronto, where he has practised since 1983.

Founded in 1985, Ph.D. Design, Peter Marzynski’s company has designed and overseen the construction of  some 250 projects in prestigious areas of Toronto’s Rosedale and Forest Hill, Etobicoke’s The Kingsway, Mississauga and King City among others. From Tudor through Georgian, Victorian and Craftsman styles, Peter Marzynski is also highly adept at cutting-edge Modernist structures. Priding itself on stunning interior design, PhD Design counts several designers in its team.

Peter is a recipient often European architectural prizes & awards for projects as disparate as a University Library, a Shopping Centre, a commercial complex, and a church and convent in Poland, as well as an art museum in Santa Barbara California. He is also an accomplished photographer, and has seen his work published in Time Magazine, The National Post, and the Globe and Mail.
